MARGIE
Margie was found on a back road with 11 other turkeys. Unfortunately two of the turkeys had been hit by a car by the time they were found. When her original home could not be found, Bennett was taken to safety by the person who found him and his friends. With the help of another sanctuary, they were all quarantined for a couple of weeks to prepare them for their forever home.
We suspect that Margie is a commercial breed turkey and based on her estimated age, we believe she was destined to be Thanksgiving dinner had she not been found.
Margie came to live at Grey's with her friend Bennett while their other friends went to live at other sanctuaries.
Margie has been living her best life at Grey's Haven since August 6, 2019.
Margie is very independent and quiet but also very sweet. She can be a little shy but does love to socialize one on one when it's quiet. She tends to be drawn to quieter individuals. Margie and Bennett have become best of friends and you can often find them foraging for food and relaxing together.
